“Yoga is about finding balance on and off our mats. This growth may occur in the body, breath, in affairs of the world, family matters, the relationship of the self to the Self or to the Divine. Let’s find our own unique pace and place in practice of yoga and dance together”. Erley Combs.
At age 10 standing at the rail of a huge dam, with mist of falling water rising, I refrained from scratching a mosquito bite. To me this was Yoga/Meditation….staying calm and un-reactive. This was a conscious practice towards something I had an idea about which connected me to the unseen, creating strength in life.
Fortune was mine in the arms of my parents as they danced around the house. A fortune to be shared.
From age 5 up I had dance of one or the other: Tap, Ballet, European Folk, Afro-Cuban, Modern and Jazz.
I have choreographed for a local dance troupe and taught children and adults.
Dance is allowing these wonderful bodies freedom to feel, connect and to express life force while feeling music.
Let’s find our own unique pace and place in practice of yoga and dance together.
