Learn to run with ease, reduce risk of injury and become more flexible. This is an intense deep stretch class, perfect for runners, athletes (and every body)! … Yin yoga improves the range of motion in your joints and also strengthens them. Resulting in more flexibility and greater range of motion and stability within your joints. This practice is gentle, yet challenging. Each pose is held for several minutes to liberate the body’s chronic holding patterns, relieve pain, and help recapture ease of movement. Come and learn your own uniqueness!

Learn the benefits that Yin yoga helps us become well-acquainted with our bodies’ limitations and capabilities, as we continually observe the sensations that arise. Developing a habit of mindful awareness and fusing it into your running practice means you’ll be better able to listen to your bodies’ innate messages and potentially prevent injury and overexertion.

Yin yoga is a slower-paced style of yoga. Yin poses are a series of passive floor poses that are typically held for 3-5 minutes. These poses enhance the range of motion in the joints by working beneath the superficial muscles to target the connective tissues of the body. The Yin approach to yoga works with the body in a deep and slow way through the practice of postures, breath, mental focus and awareness. This practice is gentle, yet challenging. Each pose is held for several minutes to liberate the body’s chronic holding patterns, relieve pain, and help recapture ease of movement.

Yin Yoga is for all levels. Beginners are welcome!
